”Promoting Mental Health and Wellbeing in Workplaces”. Konferensens mycket
intressanta bakgrundsdokument var författat av professor David McDaid från
London School of Economics. Hans bakgrund har inspirerat honom att försöka
ge ”the business case” för ohälsoförebyggande och hälsofrämjande åtgärder.

SBM’s new journal – Translational, Behavioral Medicine: Practice, Policy, Research (TBM) – has released 9 articles from its inaugural issue online. The issue’s theme, “Information Technology and Evidence Implementation,” aims to engage, inform and catalyze the discussions needed to improve patient outcomes through strategic investments in health information technology.
Free access to TBM and Annals of Behavioral Medicine, as well as electronic access to three additional behavioral medicine journals is a benefit of SBM membership. Den 15-16 novemberr är det ett sympopsium på KI i Stockholm kring
implementeringsforskning. Symposiet ämnar att bidra till utveckling av
implementeringsforskning inom sjukvården i Sverige. För mer information:

Psykologens roll 2020 var temat på Psykologstudentkonferensen 2010 (PS10) i Göteborg den 22-23 oktober. Över 500 besökare hade lockats till arrangörernas digra program med ett 30-tal föreläsningar, seminarier och workshops.
Under fredagen fick studenterna ta del av många spännande föreläsningar. Bland andra var SBFs ordförande Anne Berman på plats och höll en föreläsning med temat ” Forskar PTP – en idé i tiden”.
Annes vision är att forskar PTP tjänster (dvs att man forskar på 50% på universitet och arbetar kliniskt 50 %) ska tillskapas lokalt på universiteten i samarbete med landsting. Idag finns dessa tjänster endast på vissa enstaka ställen i Sverige, en tjänst här och var, men det är ingen självklarhet. Det vill Anne ändra på! Vi har alldeles för få forskare med klinisk bakgrund och forskar-PTP skulle vara ett sätt att ändra detta.
Under lördagen användes metoden ”Open Space” som på ett aktivt sätt drog in besökarna i vad som skulle diskuterades. Och många diskussioner blev det. De gav en bred vidd av studenternas syn på psykologins och psykologernas framtid. Sammantaget så tyckte såväl besökare som arrangörer att PS10 blev mycket lyckat.
